The Friars in the Philippines
Ambrose Coleman shows friars, painted as villains in Philippine history, in a more positive light in this volume. Coleman maintains that the Katipuneros, envious of the vast wealth and land possessions of the friars, developed a propaganda to tarnish the friars' reputation. The book also includes interviews, letters, and reports written by friars, as a testament of their work for the country.
